The pool is a favorite place.  Danny's swimming is advancing, as is a minor case of swimmer's ear.
The filter hole is irresistible; it must be stuffed!
There is a lot of this diving, with full lay-outs.
 Looking tough.
 After, dinner at Ashley's.
An orchid that is thriving in our well-lit home.

One of my many yard projects, turning this stump into a table.
My carpenter friend tells me one year of drying per inch of wood.  2015!

Summer

When the landscaper is done moving things, he likes to nap.  Or pretend to, under a blanket of children.
The girls lining up their friends for breakfast.
We joined a pool.  The girls love it.
The boy doesn't mind it, either.

House is Done!

Our new house is all done . . .
. . . or all the parts we paid someone else for.  The yard work is ongoing.  At least our landscaper is cheap.

The resulting giant pile of wood chips got distributed, and replaced by this giant pile of stone.  6 tons worth.  We're expecting another 6 tons when the gravel store gets more in.

The Ida's and Miki's came all the way to the East!  Ella led Pete and I on a death march to the beach. It was so rough Miki passed out.
Leigh found some seaweed.
The next day we went to the children's museum in Middletown.  Who doesn't like an in-flight movie?
Ida and Miki got trapped in a UFO.
Ida helped gather fish in the cannery.  This was before big Uncle Dan laughed at her, causing her to hide in distress.
Uncle Pete fixing the jam we caused in the fish conveyor belts.
Those girls sure like the beach, even when it is a gloomy day.  Miki likes to get naked.
Danny and Ida got along great,..

 Scary masks!

Hana Turns 2

Hana enjoyed opening her presents.  Reach Hana reach!

She insisted on immediately donning the clothes, right over her pajamas, layer upon layer.
The next day friends and family from near and far came to celebrate with her.  These girls played doctor.
 There was cake.
Big brother and his best bud assisted in the blowing out of the candles.
 And then there was reading.

The next morning everyone needed some milk and some tongue exercises.
Thanks for coming!
(And sorry for the delay in posting.  DadKV has been too busy building shoe racks, disposing of cardboard, and assembling Ikea furniture to post and I have, for obvious reasons, been put off by the new blog format.)

New House!

First, some photos of Leigh enjoying her birthday song.

Swarming tee-ball defense.

Crazy squirrel outside our windows this morning.
