Hanako at Play

Janine has been in Germany for the past 10 days and DadKV has been working many of those, which doesn't leave anyone with much time for blogging. Or picture taking. Here are a few shots of Hana, captured during rare moments when she lets me put her down for some "playtime."

Hopefully DKV will have time to document last week's trip to H-field soon.

More Visitors

Baby Hana has lured many kind visitors to our house in her early days. Charles, Anna, and their baby Edward came all the way from merry England.

Edward is a pretty happy guy. And bears a strong resemblance to his father.
A few days later, Lindy, Uncle Dana, Aunt Vida, and Cousin Kaiya made their way up from NYC. Lindy was happy to finally hold Hanako...

... who didn't seem to mind one bit.

Everyone got their snuggles in...

... and then DHV got them all outside for some baseball.

Li-li enjoyed soaking up attention from those who weren't in the game.

And Hana returned to her usual perch for the remainder of the afternoon.

Baby exercises

We've started doing some tummy time with Hanako to strengthen her neck muscles. She's pretty tolerant of it at first.

She tries to look around and eventually picks her head up and looks to the other side.

But it always ends like this.

Getting Out and Getting Dirty

Holing up in the house got old pretty fast so we've been trying to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather as much as possible. D Hawk's favorite new activity is to walk to the Yale fields and play baseball on real bases. So that's what we do.

It's important to keep this face protected in the sun.

This guy has quite the swing.

And sometimes he beats Dad to first base.

Leigh gets her hands on the bat when she can.

But mostly she plays in the dirt.

And the little one? She sleeps of course.
