DHawk usually likes to keep things exciting around here, but here's a picture of him spacing out. DKV asked SHV, "what the heck is wrong with our son in this picture?"
"Oh, that's when he hadn't napped for four days."
He snapped right out of it when we opened up the Frosty the Snowman singing book. He can tap into his endless reservoirs of energy whenever he wants. DHV adding humorous commentary on DKV's inability to open a jar of sauce.

This is especially fun when you try to turn the duck into a car shape with your bare hands. Then you get yelled at. After whining, you are rewarded with a cookie. Rinse, repeat.
Sometimes we try to run the well of energy dry by bring DHV to places like the "beeg water."

Helmets, Snow, Nikolaustag

Getting DHV to sit still, near his sister, while LRV does not look surprised or angry, is near impossible. Here LRV practices "indifferent."
We got our shape-shifting helmet one week after the plaster head incident. It made look Leigh look perma-angry. Maybe it was because it was boring a hole through the skin on the back of her head. Now she's out of the helmet until her skin heals.

DHV will only drink from our small bottles. Or, in his langauge, "bye-bye beeg baba, hi babee baba." So LRV is stuck with the beeg bottles.December 5th is Nicolaustag in Germany; you put your boots outside overnight and St. Nikolaus fills them with goodies, like chocolate and tiny bears.DHV seems to like his sister . . . . . . so much that he tried to smother her!
Relaxing after everyone (ie, DHV and LRV) has gone to sleep.
