Danny turns 6!

A busy Friday and weekend for Danny.  Morning presents with his sisters.

 Swimming after school.

  Monkeys.

  A boat of sushi.

  Soccer on Saturday.

These other Under-6's were in Kindergarten and were not prepared for a first grader's intensity.  He started slide-tackling everyone and got some words from the ref.  I asked him where he learned how to do that and he answered, "I saw it on TV."

  Sharing some sister time before Leigh's bus.

Cape Cod

 A nice empty beach. No idiots except the ones we brought.

 Crab monster?  I don't remember.

  Walking back together.

  Wrangling these kids for a picture is hard work.

  But worth it.

  "We need to go catch some crabs!"  "Mine is a big huge gigantic one"  (swimming on the floor)

Cape Cod, Hanako Margaret

Hanako does not like sand on her skin; the beach is a tough place for her, as evidenced by her expression after finding some sand on her feet.

 

  She demanded personal transportation to the beach mat, over the sand.

  Occasionally played with small amounts of sand.

 And concentrated on looking cute.

Leigh liked the beach,

 

  but sometimes spent too much time in the water,

and got cold.

  Afternoon sun would warm her up

 for some shovel time.

  You like my shovel, don't you?

When he's not too busy chewing,

 Crabs are the focal point for this guy.

  They were in short supply the first couple of days.

  We filled our bucket with comb jellies instead.

  Crab attack!  They were easier to find later on.

 This development made him happy.

Soccer Camp

When he is not training for Olympic swimming, Danny is now at soccer camp.  Here we go to pick him up.

Leigh had a trial of soccer camp, but between the crying and general lack of interest we didn't make her go back.
