Bottle!

Tonight Leigh had her first shot at the bottle since getting the trach. She did great, taking almost 2/3 of her feeding before tiring out. No oral aversion here!


Rumor has it that she'll be moving up to the respiratory unit on Monday, at which point our intensive training regimen will begin. Home preparations are already underway. We're officially in "go" mode here.

LR looks a little bored in the second pic... maybe DHV needs a funny hat or something else for her to look at? some of those earlobe stretcher things? Facial piercings? plenty of that in Portland so just let me know.

I was told to keep my tongue inside the vehicle at all times, therefore, I could not make my funny faces.

How exciting! She's more and more beautiful every time I see a pic! What a doll. I'm so glad for you all that she is moving toward being home with the rest of the family :)
