A Call to Prayer
No one in this house is a big church-goer, but I'm not above asking the faithful out there for some help. Leigh appears to have dodged the necrotizing enterocolitis, but had her PDA re-discovered yesterday. We meet with the cardiac surgeons this morning, with surgery on slate for this afternoon. There seem to be a whole lot of bullets to dodge to get from this . . .

We aren't Christian or churchgoers, but are sending love to you and requests to the spirits that our niece will get through this safely.
I too think of you all on a daily basis and think you are so strong! Leigh is in my prayers most definitely. I pray that the Lord completely heals her and prospers her, and fills all of you with strength and energy as you go through these hurdles.

Everything continues to go well, I am assuming. Man, Leigh is strong. I suspect that D. Hawk may have sneaked in a prayer or two.
Dodging bullets is a lot easier when you have some "Heavenly Help" We do a lot more praying in our house now than we ever have after walking through some unexpected losses & tragedy - and we'll be praying for you guys too and especially little Leigh. She has worked so hard and you all have walked a hard road these past few months - it must be for a reason. The Smiths are sending lots of love your way :)
