No one in this house is a big church-goer, but I'm not above asking the faithful out there for some help. Leigh appears to have dodged the necrotizing enterocolitis, but had her
PDA re-discovered yesterday. We meet with the cardiac surgeons this morning, with surgery on slate for this afternoon. There seem to be a whole lot of bullets to dodge to get from this . . .
. . . to a girl version of this . . .
. . . and DadKV is, quite frankly, getting tired of all the shooting.

Me too, Dad. This is really hard!
We aren't Christian or churchgoers, but are sending love to you and requests to the spirits that our niece will get through this safely.
I too think of you all on a daily basis and think you are so strong! Leigh is in my prayers most definitely. I pray that the Lord completely heals her and prospers her, and fills all of you with strength and energy as you go through these hurdles.

Hang in there mom and dad. We're praying for you and Leigh.

I am praying for you all daily. God Bless.
Everything continues to go well, I am assuming. Man, Leigh is strong. I suspect that D. Hawk may have sneaked in a prayer or two.
Dodging bullets is a lot easier when you have some "Heavenly Help" We do a lot more praying in our house now than we ever have after walking through some unexpected losses & tragedy - and we'll be praying for you guys too and especially little Leigh. She has worked so hard and you all have walked a hard road these past few months - it must be for a reason. The Smiths are sending lots of love your way :)
we are not big prayers, but you better believe we have all been thinking and hoping and praying for you guys!!
you have all been through more than your fair share, and i cannot believe how strong you have all been through all of this. sending lots of love your way, and prayers to whoever might be upstairs that your bullet dodging days are done!
