A whole fist is nothing if you dislocate your jaw!
We took a little side trip to Connecticut to scope out the housing market. DHV got to enjoy his first fire, courtesy of Ben Luce.
Then we drove down to Virginia to check things out. DHV got stung by a helicopter-sized yellowjacket two minutes after arriving in Mutton Hollow. He was very mad but a little breast milk was the perfect salve ("breast IS best"). Here we are with his first horse encounter. With the safety orange on, the horses wouldn't mistake us for deer.
Another fire - almost as good as tv!
A beautiful day for walk.
WifeHV and DHV soaking up the Blue Ridge.
Mattie's run. The Honda made it through with only a few loud undercarriage thumps.
Check out how Picasa makes it pretty!
There's nothing quite like an outdoor fire as night closes in.
We hit Maryland on the way home, and DHV met great-aunt Karen and G-Grandma Margaret. Karen the librarian hooked us up with about 40 books to get the little one a head start on literacy.
